The Tension
Numbers speak for themselves. But not everyone speaks in numbers.
Where they stood
AECB held the country's credit data and an app that reported it back. What it did not have was a reason for anyone to open it. People did not find their score confusing. They found it frightening.
Process
Frame one
The development team rebuilt the app. We took the harder half: why anyone would open it twice.
Frame two
We stopped treating financial literacy as information and started treating it as a habit.
Frame three
The number people feared became the number they checked. Same number, different relationship.
Frame four
One idea, split into two campaigns. New users needed a reason to start. Existing users needed a reason to return.
Idea
Your Numbers Count.
A line that works twice. Your numbers are counted. And your numbers matter. The app took the guide archetype and started teaching as much as it tracked.
The Proof
The two-audience launch moved every number that mattered, and the app stopped being a place people were sent and became a place they went.
The Truth they now own
